Round One

I've been pondering the blog thing for a while now and have finally made the leap.  I love reading blogs, especially the ones that are really creative with words (which I tend not to be) so I've been a little intimidated about starting my own and competing with all you creative writers out there.  But here goes nothing.  I guess I'll start off with a little about me.  My name is Crissy Ray, I married the man of my dreams on June 18, 2012, I'm an athletic trainer (this has nothing to do with how in shape I am), and I live in Utah county.

I graduated college in 2010 and started back up again two weeks ago to get prerequisites for PA school.  I guess what really pushed me over the edge with this whole blogging thing is I kept thinking to myself as I sit here on my couch waiting for my husband to get home "school will be the death of my brain" and "If I read any more textbooks today my brain will turn to mush".  I felt as though I needed to vent, so here I am venting.  I currently work two jobs and go to school almost full time.  I booked my classes to work completely around my work schedule and thought I had it all figured out.  Boy was I in for a surprise.  I love school but I definitely forgot how much time and effort goes into learning.  So here's my outlet, little snipits from my life that I can share with the world to procrastinate my studying just a little longer.

Yesterday I decided to conquer my guest room which has been collecting miscellaneous things since Walker (the husband) and I got married last June.  It's a very small room, with a queen size bed that was completely hidden under coats and random other things that had been thrown into the abyss.  But the possibility of in laws staying at our house led me to the plunge I've been avoiding for months.  After five hours of sorting and moving and rearranging......all the stuff that was cluttering my guest room is now in my living room.  A pile for DI, a pile of coats over the back of the couch which need to be hung up, a couple kitchen chairs that don't fit at my kitchen table that happens to be in my living room, and a few scattering piles of random things on the floor.  BUT!!! The guestroom is clean (minus sheets on the bed) and I finally filled the bookshelf with all my books which was a sight for sore eyes! I love books and I LOVE bookshelves.  I'm told the library is great, but I really love buying books to keep.  I love the feel of a book in my hand and the look of it on a shelf, and just in case I need to read it again later which I tend to do with most my books.

Well I guess that's a start... Until next time
